The Role

Within the Sydney office, this business has a settled but fairly young structures team of around eight, from interns and graduates through to intermediate and senior engineers.

They're looking for a Senior or Associate Structural Engineer to step in as 2IC to the Structural Manager. The work is building structures only, across boutique and multi-residential, commercial, industrial and aged care projects, including post-tensioned design.

This is a genuine step-up role, with a clear path to take on the Sydney office over time, and shareholding on the table for the right person.

The Responsibilities

- Support the Structural Manager as 2IC, helping lead and run the Sydney structures team.




- Mentor and develop a young team of graduates and intermediate engineers.
- Deliver building structures projects across residential, commercial and industrial work.
- Be a front facing presence for the office with clients and project teams.
- Help build the culture of the Sydney office, and step up to take on the office over time.

The Requirements

This role suits an experienced building structures engineer who's ready to step up and lead. In return, you'll be able to demonstrate:

- 8+ years' experience as a Structural Engineer, at Senior or Associate level
- A building structures background across residential, commercial or industrial projects
- Experience within an Australian engineering design consultancy
- Solid skills in SpaceGass, ETABS, RAM and RAPT
- A genuine appetite to step up, lead and mentor a young team
- A down to earth, approachable style
- Full working rights in Australia
