About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, skilled and customer-focused Finance Broker to join our growing team in Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous banking or finance experience who is looking to develop their career in finance broking. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs, identify suitable finance solutions and guide them through the application process from initial enquiry through to settlement.

This is an entry-level broking position, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career. Applicants must hold at least a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and have previous experience in banking or finance.

You will have the opportunity to develop your broking skills, build robust client relationships and grow your finance career.

Please note: This is an hybrid WFH/office-based position in Brisbane. Flexibility to work weekends and, when required, outside standard business hours is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage incoming client enquiries and build strong, professional client relationships.
- Assess clients’ financial circumstances, objectives, borrowing capacity and funding requirements.
- Research and compare finance products, lenders and loan options to identify suitable solutions for clients.
- Collect, review and verify financial information and supporting documentation required for finance applications.
- Prepare, complete and submit finance applications to relevant lenders on behalf of clients.
- Liaise with clients, lenders and other stakeholders to negotiate finance terms, clarify requirements and progress applications.
- Explain relevant loan terms, conditions, repayment structures and finance requirements to clients.
- Manage finance applications from initial enquiry through assessment, approval and settlement.
- Monitor application progress and proactively follow up with clients and lenders to facilitate timely approvals and settlements.
- Maintain accurate client records, application notes and supporting documentation.
- Comply with applicable regulatory requirements, responsible lending obligations where relevant, and internal policies and procedures.




- Provide professional guidance and a high standard of customer service throughout the finance process.
- Work towards individual and business performance targets and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking: A minimum of the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is required.
- Previous banking or finance experience: Relevant experience in banking, financial services, lending or a related finance environment is essential.
- Strong communication skills: Confidence communicating professionally with clients, lenders and other stakeholders.
- Customer-focused approach: A genuine commitment to understanding client needs and delivering excellent service.
- Organisation and attention to detail: Ability to manage documentation, application requirements and multiple tasks accurately.
- Time management: Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
- Weekend availability: Willingness and ability to work weekends as required.
- After-hours flexibility: Availability to work outside standard business hours when required.
- Office-based work: Ability and willingness to work from our Brisbane office.
- Professionalism and integrity: A strong commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct and compliance.

Preferred Criteria

The following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded:

- Tertiary qualification in Finance or Business: A university degree or other relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Banking, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
- Bilingual language skills: The ability to communicate confidently with clients in more than one language is advantageous.




- Previous exposure to loan processing, consumer finance, asset finance, commercial finance or mortgage lending.
- Experience using CRM systems, loan origination platforms or other finance-related software.
- A proactive mindset and a strong interest in developing a long-term career in finance broking.
