About the role (Cooking and housekeeping must be willing to CLEAN and COOK)

Full time or casual hours are available for the right candidate - work site is 40-45 minutes out of Loxton (FREE ACCOMODATION AVAILABLE + ALLOWANCE)

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join Casa Cleaning on a casual basis for a contract in the mining industry. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your culinary expertise and creativity to our kitchen operations 45 minutes out of Loxton. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences and maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. This casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to our hospitality operations.

What you'll be doing

- Cooking and Housekeeping - Preparing residents meals, ensuring their rooms are kept to a clean standard. Linen washing, kitchen cleaning and other areas on the site (common rooms)

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to exacting standards, ensuring consistency and quality with every service

- Planning menus and special dishes that delight our guests and reflect current culinary trends

- Managing food costs and portion control whilst maintaining nutritional value and taste

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

- Training and supervising kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure excellent performance

- Liaising with suppliers to source quality ingredients and manage inventory effectively

- Adapting to changing requirements and responding to guest feedback with professionalism and flexibility

- Collaborating with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery

What we're looking for





- Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional kitchen experience in a hospitality setting

- Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation

- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and dietary requirements

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

- Creative flair and a passion for developing innovative and appealing dishes

- Proven leadership and communication skills to work effectively with kitchen teams

- Flexibility and adaptability to casual working arrangements and changing schedules

- Experience in menu planning and food cost management is highly desirable

- Current food handling certification or willingness to obtain one
