About the role

Nexus Pools Gladstone is seeking a Fibreglass Pool Installer to join our team in a full time capacity. This role is based in Gladstone, QLD 4680 and offers an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic pools and outdoor living industry. As a Fibreglass Pool Installer, you will be trained in the essential installation techniques, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the high standards our customers expect. This role is pivotal in delivering quality outcomes across our residential and commercial pool installation projects.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with & eventually overseeing pool installation; everything from the delivery, preparation and installation of fibreglass pools

2. Preparing and levelling pool sites, including working in conjunction with excavation contractors and providing support for ground work

3. Assisting with the handling and positioning of small and large fibreglass pool shells and associated equipment and plumbing components

4. Supporting the installation of pipework, filtration systems and other pool infrastructure

5. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, removing debris and managing waste materials on site

6. Operating hand tools and power tools safely onsite

7. Assisting with and eventually overseeing backfilling, concreting and landscaping work around completed pool installations

8. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company protocols on every project

9. Communicating effectively with management and installation teams to ensure smooth project progression

10. Supporting the team in meeting project deadlines and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy items and working at heights where required

2. A strong commitment to health and safety practices on construction and installation sites

3.



The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from experienced supervisors

4. Reliability and the ability to attend work on schedule, particularly important for ongoing positions

5. Willingness to learn new skills and work with various tools and equipment

6. Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail

7. A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements

8. Ideally, some previous experience in construction, landscaping, or pool industry work (though training will be provided)

9. A current driver's licence is advantageous for site mobility
