- Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- High-care or complex support needs
- Personal care and activities of daily living

Responsibilities:

- Provide person-centred support with personal care and activities of daily living, including showering, dressing, grooming, meal preparation and household tasks.
- Support people who may experience complex or challenging behaviours, following individual support plans, behaviour support strategies and established safety procedures.
- Assist participants to develop and maintain independence, daily living skills and meaningful routines.
- Support participants to access the community, attend appointments and participate in social, recreational and everyday activities.




- Observe and accurately document changes in a participant’s health, wellbeing, behaviour or support needs and report concerns appropriately.
- Promote participant choice, dignity, independence and control in all aspects of their support.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, colleagues and relevant health and allied health professionals to provide consistent, quality support.

Qualifications:

- A genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of disability support practices (training will be provided).
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability Support, or a related qualification preferred, or demonstrated relevant disability support experience will be highly regarded.
- NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain the same
