About the Role

Tintern Grammar is seeking an enthusiastic Junior School PE Teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive Physical Education programs from ELC to Year 6. Candidates may apply for the teaching position only or with the Junior School Sport Coordinator POR.

The Sport Coordinator leads Junior School carnivals, interschool sport and swimming, working with staff, coaches and district sporting organisations to deliver safe and well-organised programs.

This is a full time ongoing Junior School teaching position, with the optional Position of Responsibility as Junior School Sport Coordinator, offered for a limited tenure of 3 years.

About You

You will demonstrate excellence in Physical Education teaching. Candidates applying for the POR will also demonstrate the ability to lead and coordinate Junior School sport. You will bring:

- Current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
- Care and connectedness with students, with a commitment to their wellbeing and safety




- The ability to differentiate Physical Education programs for students from ELC to Year 6
- Experience in organising sporting events and managing risk assessments (for POR applicants)
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with leadership experience and the ability to motivate staff and coaches for POR applicants
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and external sporting organisations
- A collaborative approach, robust IT skills and a willingness to engage in the broader life of the School
