As an Interim Group Accountant in South Sydney, you will contribute to core accounting activities for a retail organisation during a temporary assignment. You will use sound accounting knowledge to maintain accurate financial information and help the Accounting & Finance function meet its reporting needs.

Description

- Prepare and maintain accurate group accounting records to support timely financial reporting.
- Review financial data and investigate variances to improve the accuracy of reported information.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve identified discrepancies.
- Prepare journals and supporting documentation in line with internal accounting requirements.
- Assist with period-end activities, ensuring key accounting tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Compile financial reports and schedules for use by the Accounting & Finance team.




- Work with relevant stakeholders to obtain financial information and clarify accounting entries.
- Maintain organised records and documentation to support clear financial reporting.

Profile

A successful Interim Group Accountant should have:

- Experience in group accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Robust knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, journals and period-end processes.
- Ability to review financial data, identify variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Capability to prepare accurate financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation.
- Confidence working with accounting records and maintaining clear financial files.
- Ability to work effectively with Accounting & Finance stakeholders to gather information.

Job Offer

- Temporary Interim Group Accountant assignment in South Sydney.
- Hourly rate of AUD 54 to AUD 66.
