About The Role

Are you an experienced professional with between 5 and 15 years professional experience looking to step into a senior role? Do you bring strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a genuine interest in mentoring others and shaping team growth?

Emerge Associates, a leading environmental consulting firm, is seeking a talented Lead to Senior Environmental Consultant to join it’s team in Subiaco, WA. Based in our Subiaco office with flexible hybrid working arrangements, you will play a key role in providing expertise in contaminated land assessment and management, as well as acid sulfate soils investigation and remediation. This prospect is available in our Perth office, with the scope of the role tailored to your experience.

This role is ideal for a technically strong consultant who enjoys mentoring others, building client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of a high-performing team.

Working closely with our Directors and Principal Consultants, you will play a key role in project delivery, client relationships, and the ongoing growth and direction of the contaminated land team. You will be supported to influence outcomes, develop people, and help shape the future of our water services offering.

That support means working together on complex contaminated land management issues, discussing project approaches, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback. It means having people to test your thinking with,



learn from and turn to when a project becomes difficult. We want you to develop the technical capability, judgement and confidence to take on greater responsibility—not simply be given more work.

What You Will Bring

To be considered, you must have proven contaminated land experience under the Contaminated Sites Act. Prior consulting experience will be considered favourably but is not essential.

- A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in contaminated land management (consulting experience highly regarded) including both fieldwork implementation and technical report writing
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and deliver high-quality technical outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive leadership mindset, with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing others
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- High professional and ethical standards
- Full Australian working rights.
- Experience in groundwater modelling or hydrogeological assessment




- Experience with landfill gas investigation and risk assessment
- Experience with asbestos containing material management and remediation
- Experience in field investigations and monitoring programs
- Proficiency in GIS and relevant modelling software
- Established client relationships or a track record in business development.
