About the role.
We are currently in need of a multiple Support workers to join our team.
We have several vacancies for workers to assist in the care of a client in Grenfell. Our client preference is for a male worker who is within the local area.
Our client is looking for a switched on, enthusiastic communicator, reliable worker that has a valuable sense of humor.
As a Support worker you are expected to:
- Provide professional, friendly and caring support.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Communicate effectively.
- Manage the tasks within the allocated time.
- Be switched on.
The responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
- Domestic assistance- Domestic cleaning, meal preparation.
- Social support- shopping, assisting clients with their individual interests.
- Transport;
- Medication.
- Accompanying clients to appointments.
- Using applicable mobility devices such as lifters, wheelchairs, commodes etc.
Requirements for the role:
- Certificate III or above in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain one (own expense)
- Current WWCC or willingness to obtain one (own expense)
- Current Police Check
- Minimum of 6 months experience in disability support or aged care is required.
- Candidates must have any valid work visa to work in Australia.
- Full unrestricted driver's licence is required for client transport duties.
- Experience with Traumatic Brain Injuries will be highly regarded
- Experience in transporting clients in wheelchairs.
- Hoisting.
You will also be required to take out professional insurance and obtain an ABN (Australian Business Number). Successful candidates will be advised on how to obtain relevant documents)
Job Type: Subcontract
Pay: $40.00 – $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35.0 per week
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Required)

- Min Cert III in Individual Support or Equivalent (Required)
