About the role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Coomera Rivers Playschool Early Learning Centre. You will provide secure, nurturing care and engaging play-based learning experiences for children.

Key responsibilities

Preparing materials, resources and equipment for children’s educational and recreational activities
Managing children’s behaviour positively and guiding their social and emotional development
Preparing and conducting play-based learning activities aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Engaging and entertaining children through reading, storytelling, music and games
Supervising children during indoor and outdoor recreational activities
Supervising children’s daily routines, including arrival, meals, rest and departure
Supervising children’s hygiene, including handwashing, toileting and nappy changing
Observing and recording children’s learning and development
Building respectful relationships and communicating with families

Child Safe Standards and National Quality Framework requirements

Essential requirements

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (Diploma)
Minimum 1 year of experience working in an early childhood education and care setting
Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
Understanding of child-safe practices, professional boundaries and safeguarding
Strong communication skills and respect for diversity and culturally responsive practice
