Transform Formwork Contractors Group Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based formwork and concreting contractor

supporting construction projects across New South Wales. We are seeking a full-time Structural Design

Engineer to join our engineering and construction team in Wetherill Park.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to undertake structural analysis, engineering

calculations and technical design assessments for formwork, falsework and temporary support systems. The

role involves developing practical, project-specific engineering solutions, assessing structural performance

under construction loads and coordinating engineering reviews and construction-stage support.

Key responsibilities

 Perform structural engineering calculations and analysis for formwork, falsework and temporary supports,

assessing construction loads, concrete pressures, load distribution, member capacities, deflections and

stability.

 Design and assess steel, timber and proprietary formwork components, including beams, bearers, brackets,

connections and temporary support elements.

 Prepare and review engineering drawings, formwork layouts, structural details, specifications and associated

design documentation.

 Develop project-specific engineering solutions for non-standard loading, site constraints, design

modifications and alternative construction methodologies.

 Liaise with external structural engineers and consultants to coordinate engineering design reviews,

verification and certification where required.

 Undertake technical site assessments of installed formwork and temporary structures,



identify design

discrepancies and recommend engineering solutions.

 Provide structural engineering advice to construction and project teams during installation, modification and

removal of formwork systems.

 Maintain accurate structural calculations, design revisions, technical schedules, material-related engineering

details and responses to site queries.

Qualifications, skills and experience

 A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

 A minimum of five years' relevant qualified engineering experience, including practical experience in

structural analysis, engineering calculations and design for construction-related projects.

 Sound understanding of structural behaviour, construction-stage loading, steel and timber systems, and

relevant Australian Standards.

 Ability to interpret and prepare engineering drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD or

equivalent CAD software and appropriate engineering analysis tools.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to assess technical challenges,

develop practical solutions and coordinate with project teams.

 A proven track record of delivering practical engineering design solutions for construction projects is highly

desirable. Experience in formwork, falsework or temporary works is highly regarded.
