Gatsu Gatsu is a Japanese restaurant located in Launceston, renowned for providing authentic Japanese cuisine using high-quality ingredients and exceptional service. To further enhance our service, we are seeking motivated and experienced receptionists to join our team.

Position: All-rounder / Waitress / Waiter / Cook / Kitchen Hand

Employment Type: Part time

As an all-rounder, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our restaurant.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Greet and serve customers with a friendly attitude

* Take orders and operate the POS system

* Pack takeaway orders and maintain cleanliness in the service area

* Food preparation and basic cooking tasks

* Clean tables, kitchen areas, and utensils

* Follow food safety and hygiene standards

* Support the team with any other duties as required

As an Cook / Kitchen Hand, your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing food ingredients for cooking purpose.

* Preparing and cooking food as per customer orders and to meet their special dietary requirements.





* Keeping kitchens, equipment and service areas clean.

* Managing dishwashing and helping the kitchen run smoothly.

* Maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards.

* Work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume team environment.

What We're Looking For:

* RSA Certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) - required.

* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role.

* Basic barista skills.

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

* For the cook/ kitchen hand, has a minimum of one year experience as a cook/ kitchen hand in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, restaurant.

Monday to Sunday: 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM - 8:30PM

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $26.50 – $33.50 per hour
