We are seeking an experienced and passionate Retail Manager to lead our busy retail seafood shop in Hornsby. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food retail environment and takes pride in quality, freshness, and customer service.

Position: Retail Manager
Location: Hornsby
Salary: $77,000 per year
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of seafood retail management experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the seafood retail store
- Lead, train, and supervise staff to ensure excellent customer service
- Manage ordering, stock control, and product freshness
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are met
- Drive sales, manage rosters, and control costs
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness
- Book Keeping and maintaining records

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of experience in a seafood retail management or supervisory role




- Experience in seafood retail is essential – you must know different types of seafood and identify quality.
- You must know how to handle and store seafood to maintain freshness and quality.
- Previous experience with dealing with seafood suppliers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- A Diploma or higher in management / leadership or similar.
