Job Opportunity: Casual/Part-Time Dental Assistant
Location: Richmond, Hawkesbury Area

Dentessential Dental Surgery is a small, friendly, and well-established 2-chair dental practice located in the lovely Richmond area of the Hawkesbury region. Our practice offers a welcoming and supportive workplace for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking a motivated, friendly and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual/part-time basis.

About the Role:
As a Dental Assistant in our practice, you will play an essential role in supporting our dentists and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing administrative tasks. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are a must, as you will work closely with both patients and our small team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting the dentist with a variety of dental procedures
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Assisting with reception duties, appointment scheduling and patient enquiries (when required)
- Preparing treatment rooms and setting up instruments and equipment
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining high standards of infection control
- Ensuring treatment rooms are clean, organised and ready for patients




- Providing friendly and compassionate care to patients
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and assisting with patient documentation

About You:

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in dental assisting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, professional and patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A good understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
