About the Role

Unmatched Support Services is seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide after-school support to an 8-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a PDA profile.

The successful candidate will support the child during the after-school period, which can be a challenging time due to transitions, changes, and demands. The role will focus on creating a calm, safe, and supportive environment, assisting with routines and emotional regulation, and building a positive and trusting relationship with the child.

The child lives at home with her parents and siblings and attends a mainstream school. She also regularly attends appointments with her Occupational Therapist (OT) and Counsellor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Support Worker who enjoys working with children, understands autism, and is confident supporting emotional regulation and family routines.
