About us

Building Rectification Services is an established Gold Coast remedial building company that has operated since 2012. We deliver rectification and refurbishment work on residential and commercial buildings across South East Queensland. Our work includes window and door replacement, balustrade replacement, balcony and podium deck refurbishment, façade refurbishment, concrete repair and waterproofing.

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our project team. You will carry out carpentry work on remedial and refurbishment projects on occupied buildings, working from plans and specifications to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

- Studying plans, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements, dimensions and materials
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining timber and timber substitute materials
- Removing, repairing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber and steel framing in walls, floors and roofs
- Installing and replacing doors, windows and frames
- Installing balustrades, handrails and associated fixings
- Installing and repairing external cladding and linings as part of façade refurbishment works




- Constructing framework and formwork to support balcony, podium deck and concrete repair works
- Fitting hardware, trims and mouldings and finishing work to specification
- Checking work for accuracy using levels, measuring and setting-out equipment
- Following work health and safety requirements, including safe work at heights and site housekeeping

Essential requirements

- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
- Minimum 18 months of experience as a qualified carpenter
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Own hand tools

Highly regarded

- Experience in remedial, rectification or refurbishment construction
- Working at Heights and EWP certification
- QBCC carpentry licence
