Wharf & Co is a waterfront restaurant and bar on Marina Pier, Glenelg. We reopened recently and are building a kitchen team.
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to keep our kitchen running smoothly. It’s a hands-on role and the backbone of a good service. Day to day you’ll be:
- Washing and keeping the kitchen, equipment and crockery clean and ready
- Keeping benches, floors and prep areas spotless and up to food safety standards
- Helping chefs with basic prep when needed
- Receiving and storing deliveries, and keeping the coolroom and dry store organised
- Taking out rubbish, recycling and keeping the back of house tidy through service
What we’re looking for
- A strong work ethic and genuine reliability
- The ability to keep pace during a busy service and stay organised under pressure
- A team player who communicates well with chefs and the wider kitchen
- Good hygiene habits and an eye for cleanliness
- Availability across days, nights and weekends
- Previous kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential
