The Coffee Club Craigieburn is a popular spot for locals, serving all-day breakfast, lunch and great coffee from early morning. Our regulars come back for the food, but they stay loyal because of the people who serve them. We’re building a front-of-house team that makes every visit feel easy, quick and personal, even when every table is full.

What the job involves

As part of our front-of-house crew, you’ll look after customers from the first hello to the final goodbye. You’ll keep the floor running smoothly and work hand in hand with the kitchen and coffee team during our busiest periods.

Day to day, you’ll:

- Welcome guests, seat them and keep tables turning during peak times
- Take orders with care, paying close attention to allergies and dietary needs
- Share your menu knowledge and suggest dishes, drinks and specials
- Deliver meals and drinks quickly, and check that guests have everything they need
- Look after the counter, takeaway orders and the cabinet display
- Handle payments and cash accurately
- Resolve complaints with patience so customers leave satisfied
- Clear, wipe down and reset tables promptly
- Pitch in with opening, closing, restocking and cleaning
- Keep in constant contact with the kitchen and baristas so every order is right

What we’re looking for

Must have:





- At least 6 months’ front-of-house experience in a busy cafe or restaurant
- A positive, get-it-done attitude, and a readiness to help wherever you’re needed
- Outstanding customer service and a naturally friendly personality
- The ability to connect easily with customers and colleagues alike
- A willingness to take feedback and keep improving
- The ability to stay composed and efficient under pressure
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach

Nice to have:

- Coffee-making or barista skills
- Experience using a POS system
- Food Handling certificate
- A sound understanding of allergens and dietary requirements
