About the role
Powerwest is seeking an Assistant Storesperson to join our Warehousing team based in Maddington WA 6109. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic environment. As Assistant Storesperson, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our power generation workshop, ensuring that stock is managed effectively and orders are fulfilled promptly. This position is integral to maintaining the smooth running of our operations and directly contributes to our company's commitment to service excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and materials into the warehouse system
- Organising and storing inventory in designated locations using appropriate storage methods
- Packing and preparing items for dispatch to our power station sites, ensuring proper labelling and documentation
- Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with inventory counts and cycle audits
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely and responsibly
- Keeping the stores area clean, tidy and organised in compliance with health and safety standards
- Assisting with general workshop maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Supporting senior staff with ad-hoc tasks as required What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in using Microsoft suite, MEX experience desirable
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate stock management and order fulfilment
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling duties regularly




- Reliability and a strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work safely in a workshop environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Willingness to learn and develop warehouse management systems and equipment operation
- Relevant qualifications such as a current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one would be advantageous
