This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking to work across a diverse range of commercial, industrial and residential refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Our work is primarily focused on split-system air conditioning installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs. We want to hear from technicians who are confident working on residential and commercial split systems and are happy carrying out this type of work as their main responsibility.

About the Role
As a Refrigeration Technician with FMA Contracting, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing split systems, HVAC, refrigeration and cooling systems across a variety of sites and facilities. Your day-to-day work will include installing new split systems, diagnosing faults, completing routine servicing, carrying out repairs and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering reliable, high-quality service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, inspect, service, maintain and repair split systems, EVAP, refrigeration and cooling systems, including cold rooms,



freezers, chillers, HVAC units and commercial fridges.
· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
· Perform preventative maintenance and routine system inspections.
· Recharge refrigeration systems and maintain correct operating pressures.
· Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
· Ensure all work complies with relevant safety, environmental and industry standards.
· Respond to breakdowns and emergency service requests as required.
· Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and team members.
· Travel to job sites and remote communities as required. Skills, Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or an equivalent trade qualification.
· Valid Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).
· Restricted or full Electrical Licence.
· Current driver's licence.
· White Card.
· Working with Children Check.
· Experience installing, servicing and repairing split-system air conditioners and other refrigeration or cooling units.
· Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.




· Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical service manuals.
· A strong commitment to safety, reliability and quality workmanship.
· Good time management, attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Desirable Qualifications The following will be highly regarded:
· Working at Heights certification.
· Confined Space certification.
· First Aid qualification.
· Ability to obtain a Police Clearance.
