Chef – Specialist in Pakistani Cuisine (Karahi & Nihari) Visa Sponsorship Available | Full time Position

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef with specialised expertise in authentic Pakistani cuisine to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience preparing traditional Pakistani dishes, particularly Karahi, Nihari and other authentic Pakistani curries. We are looking for someone who understands traditional cooking techniques, authentic flavours, spice combinations, and the preparation methods required to maintain consistent food quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic Pakistani dishes, with particular expertise in Chicken Karahi, Mutton Karahi, Beef Nihari and other traditional Pakistani specialities featured on our menu.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of traditional Pakistani spices, marinades, gravies and cooking techniques.
- Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring authentic taste and presentation.
- Manage food preparation, portion control and kitchen organisation.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with Australian food safety standards.
- Monitor ingredient quality, minimise food waste and assist with stock management.
- Work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining consistency and quality.



Skills and Experience
- Proven professional experience as a Chef, preferably specialising in Pakistani cuisine.
- Strong practical skills in preparing Karahi and Nihari are essential.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Pakistani recipes, spices and cooking methods.
- Experience preparing meat-based curries and other traditional Pakistani dishes.
- Ability to maintain consistent flavour, quality and presentation.
- Good kitchen organisation, time management and teamwork skills. Visa Sponsorship Visa sponsorship may be available for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate, subject to eligibility and applicable Australian immigration requirements.
