About Cordial Care Services Cordial Care Services is an NDIS-registered provider based in Canberra. We support people with disability through Supported Independent Living (SIL), Individualised Living Options (ILO), After School Care and Community Participation, with a focus on choice, dignity and independence. Purpose of the Role The Support Worker provides safe, respectful and person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and in the community, helping them achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities
Participant support
- Deliver support in line with each participant's NDIS plan, goals and support preferences
- Assist with daily living tasks, meals, personal care and medication prompts as directed
- Encourage independence, decision-making and skill development Community participation
- Support participants to attend appointments, shopping, the gym, social outings and community activities
- Provide safe transport where required, using a vehicle in accordance with company policy Household and daily living
- Assist with cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and general household routines
- Support participants with budgeting and everyday money skills Health, safety and wellbeing
- Provide first aid and CPR when required
- Identify, respond to and report incidents, injuries, hazards and risks promptly
- Follow infection control, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures Documentation and communication




- Write clear, accurate and timely shift notes and handover reports after every shift
- Communicate respectfully with participants, families, carers, allied health professionals and colleagues
- Maintain participant privacy and confidentiality at all times Compliance and professional conduct
- Work in accordance with the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Standards and company policies
- Report any concerns, complaints or suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately
- Attend team meetings, training and supervision as required Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Full driver's licence
- Current police check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- Full-time availability
- Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support Key Skills and Attributes
- Genuine compassion, patience and respect for people with disability
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Ability to follow instructions, plans and procedures consistently
