Project Manager | Gas Peaking Development | Brisbane | Contract I’m partnering with a leading Australian owned business that is building a portfolio of gas peaking and firming projects across the NEM. Their flagship Queensland development is moving through a competitive, time-critical phase, and they need an experienced Project Manager on the ground in Brisbane to keep every workstream organised and moving to firm deadlines. The role; You’ll own the delivery plan for both the development and the competitive bid.
- Coordinating parallel workstreams across technical, commercial, financial, legal, environmental, approvals, grid connection and procurement
- Running the project plan, trackers, risk and issue logs, and the governance and reporting rhythm
- Leading stakeholder engagement with government, landowners, OEMs, advisors, co-investors and network parties
- Preparing and quality assuring submission deliverables,



and holding document control to deadline
- Supporting commercial negotiations and reporting progress to senior leadership What you’ll bring;
- A proven track record managing energy infrastructure projects, ideally gas-fired or peaking generation, or large power and utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of the NEM, firming, grid connection and development approvals
- Senior-level stakeholder management and the organisational discipline to keep a complex programme on track without dropping detail
- Comfort working autonomously in a lean, quick-moving team Nice to have: experience taking competitive tenders or major milestones through to award, familiarity with gas turbines and OEM/EPC contracting, and a PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
