Salary:
$75,000 + super Meatball and Wine Bar is a vibrant Italian-inspired restaurant and wine bar known for its quality food, approachable wine selection, and warm hospitality. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the venue and work closely with the Venue Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain high standards of service. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on the floor, leads from the front, and is passionate about hospitality done properly. ## The Role
- Support the Venue Manager in the smooth daily operation of the venue
- Lead and motivate front-of-house staff during service
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and guest experience
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance management
- Support rostering, wage control, and labour targets
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with OH&S;,



food safety, and company procedures ## About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant management role
- Strong service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Confident leading a team in a busy, service-focused workplace
- Solid understanding of wine (Italian wine knowledge highly regarded)
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Willing and able to work weekends and evenings
