Financial Accountant – Private Credit An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team of a leading and fast-growing alternative asset manager in Sydney. This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional financial accounting and gain genuine exposure to investment, lending and portfolio activity. The role: You will be responsible for a broad range of financial accounting and reporting activities, including:
- Managing month-end and period-end reporting for consolidated credit entities
- Preparing P&L; reporting, management commentary and reconciliations
- Managing accounting for cash, revenue, interest, distributions, expenses and intercompany transactions
- Supporting half-year and full-year reporting, audits and financial statement preparation
- Maintaining subsidiary accounts, regulatory filings, tax compliance and BAS
- Maintaining investment and loan amortisation schedules
- Supporting lending transaction settlements and working closely with investment and operations teams
- Contributing to technical accounting papers and process improvements




- Supporting the implementation of a new loan management system and broader finance transformation projects About you: You will be a CA/CPA qualified accountant with ideally 1+ year post-qualification experience and a background in financial accounting, audit, fund accounting, investment accounting or financial services. You will bring:
- Solid month-end and financial reporting experience
- Sound AASB/IFRS knowledge
- Experience with reconciliations, consolidations and intercompany accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong control mindset
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to partner with senior stakeholders Experience within funds management, private credit, investment management or another alternative asset environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
