Support worker

We are welcoming an energetic, confident & physically fit casual support worker/mentor to join our team, to support an adult with autism living in the northern suburbs. This young man loves to be supported with cooking, gardening, craft activities, music, bikeriding, swimming and other outdoor activities.

Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder, knowledge of Restrictive Practices, and implementing behaviour therapy plans is essential, as well as experience with community supports.

There will be scope for team leading opportunities, with the right experience.

Required days: Tuesdays 11am-7pm, and sleep shifts on alternate Tuesday, Friday Saturday night sleep shifts and occassional other nights. Fill in on other days when staff go on leave.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour
