Female Disability Support Worker – Night Supports

About the Role

CarePro is seeking an experienced and compassionate female Disability Support Worker to support a young lady living in Stratford, Gippsland.

This role involves providing overnight support to a participant with both mental health needs and physical disabilities. The successful candidate will be confident in providing personal care, medication support and assistance with daily living while promoting the participant’s safety, dignity, comfort and independence.

Shift: Overnight support commencing at 11:00 PM.
Ongoing roster and shift duration to be discussed.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overnight support and monitor the participant’s wellbeing.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily living activities.
- Provide medication assistance in accordance with the participant’s medication plan and CarePro policies.
- Support the participant’s physical and mental health needs.
- Monitor changes in the participant’s presentation and report any concerns promptly.
- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and relevant health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and complete all required documentation.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
- Promote a respectful, safe and supportive environment.

Essential Requirements

- Female support worker only, as required for this position.




- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with both mental health conditions and physical disabilities.
- Proven experience providing personal care.
- Experience with medication assistance and safe medication procedures.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check, where applicable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or a related qualification.
- Right to work in Australia.
- All required compliance documents, clearances and relevant training must be current.
- Strong communication skills, reliability and a qualified approach.
- Ability to work independently and follow support plans.
