Who we are

The Coffee Club Craigieburn serves all-day breakfast, lunch and great coffee to a loyal local crowd from early morning. Our kitchen is the engine of the cafe. When it runs well, everything runs well. We're looking for an experienced cook who takes pride in putting out consistent, great-looking plates, ticket after ticket.

What the job involves

You'll work the line on our breakfast and lunch menu, cooking every dish to The Coffee Club's recipes and presentation standards. You'll work closely with the front-of-house team to get food out hot, accurate and on time, especially during the weekend rush.

Day to day, you'll:

- Cook breakfast and lunch dishes to brand recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Work the grill, flat-top, fryers and ovens confidently during peak service
- Complete morning prep so the kitchen is ready before the first order lands
- Manage multiple tickets at once and keep wait times down
- Handle allergen and dietary orders carefully to avoid cross-contamination
- Receive deliveries, and label, date and rotate stock to cut waste
- Keep temperature logs and food safety records up to date
- Keep your section clean and organised throughout the shift
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and set up for the next morning
- Communicate clearly with front-of-house about timing, specials and items running low

What we're looking for





Must have:

- At least 1 year of line cook experience in a busy cafe or restaurant
- Strong breakfast experience, including eggs every way, grills and plating at speed
- The ability to follow recipes and specs accurately, every time
- Sound knowledge of food safety and allergen handling
- Composure and efficiency when the dockets are stacking up
- A reliable, punctual, team-first approach

Nice to have:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate
