We are now recruiting casual Lifeguards and swim instructors for the Emerald Aquatic Centre Lifeguard
- Supervise patrons to ensure the safe use of pools and surrounding areas.
- Identify potential hazards and promote safe behaviour.
- Respond to incidents and perform rescues when required.
- Administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
- Conduct routine safety checks and assist with maintaining venue cleanliness and presentation.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to patrons.
- Follow facility procedures, safety policies and emergency response plans. Swim Instructor
- Deliver engaging and structured swimming lessons to children of varying ages and abilities.
- Teach essential swimming skills, water safety and stroke development.
- Create a fun, safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing encouragement and feedback.
- Adapt lessons to suit individual abilities and learning needs.




- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism and customer service. --
- About You We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and community-focused individuals who enjoy working in an aquatic environment and are passionate about providing a safe and welcoming experience for all patrons. Candidates are welcome to work at either facility or across both locations. No qualifications yet? No problem We encourage applications from individuals who are willing to obtain or are currently working towards the required qualifications and certifications. Essential:
· Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
· Provide First Aid & CPR. (or willingness to obtain)
· Blue Card (Working With Children Check) (or willingness to obtain)
· Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or willingness to obtain)
· National Police Clearance Desirable:
· Previous experience in lifeguarding and/or swim teaching
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Availability to work weekdays, public holidays and peak periods.
