Sonoma Bakery Rose Bay is dedicated to serving the community with artisan sourdough, exceptional food service and specialty coffee. We’re seeking a self-motivated, agile café chef who embodies a passion for food and hospitality.

Role is full time and will be located in Rose Bay.

Café Chef – Bakery

Location: Rose Bay

Hours: 5 days between Mon-Sun, weekend availability is essential

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Café Chef to join our team at Sonoma Bakery. This is a full time role, ideal for someone who has experience in a bakery café or breakfast café and enjoys working in a quick-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes, including traditional and bakery-inspired offerings.
Manage food preparation to ensure high-quality, fresh ingredients are used.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all health and safety standards.
Work efficiently to meet demand during peak hours.
Coordinate with bakery staff to ensure timely service of baked goods and breakfast items.
Mentoring and up-skilling the casual team to maintain food quality throughout the menu and cabinet display




Work alongside the kitchen supervisor and offer support as required

About You:
Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a breakfast or bakery setting.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple orders at once.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Food safety training cert is desirable
