Therole

We'relookingforaGridConnectionEngineertojoinaclose-knitdevelopmentandtechnicalteam,reportingtotheGridConnectionsManager.Thisisa technical role performing grid connection studies. You'llgetexposureacrossthefullprojectlifecycle,fromearlyfeasibilityandnetworkcapacityassessmentthroughtoconstructionandoperating-assetsupport,ratherthanbeingsiloedintoonephase.

You'llplayakeyrolein:
Assessinggridconnectioncapacityandnetworkriskforprospectivewind,solarandBESSsites,includingloadflowanalysisandidentificationofaugmentationrequirements
SupportingconnectionoptionassessmentandengagementwithNetworkServiceProviders(NSPs)onbehalfoftheprojectdevelopmentteam
ContributingtoGeneratorPerformanceStandards(GPS)modellingandconnection-relatedtechnicalduediligenceforprojectsmovingtowardfinancialclose
Providinggridconnectioninputintoconstruction-phasedesignreviews,commissioningandgeneratorregistration
Supportingcompliancetestingandconnection-relatedissueresolutiononoperatingassets,workingalongsidetheAssetManagementteam

3+years'experienceinpowersystemsengineering,eitherfromaconsultingbackground(gridconnectionstudies,GPSmodelling,technicalduediligence)orfromastrongacademicfoundationinpowersystems(we'regenuinelyopentocandidateswhoarestrongerondepthofstudyandmodellingabilitythanyearsinacommercialseat)
WorkingproficiencyinPSS/Eand/orPSCAD,plusDIgSILENTPowerFactory
