Position Details

Notre Dame Catholic Primary School is a double stream co-educational primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 with an approximate enrolment of 480 students. The school has a robust sense of community with an emphasis on pastoral care and acceptance of all cultural and social backgrounds and needs. The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.

We are seeking a Social Worker who will bring expertise, enthusiasm and innovation to the school. This is a part time ongoing position two days per week.

Selection Criteria
Partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create protected, healthy





and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
Liaise with outside community agencies and assist with referrals to agencies.
Provide interventions regarding a wide range of social, school, family and emotional issues that may

impact on school engagement and learning.
Conduct whole class workshops and staff skilled learning where necessary and demonstrate strategies which teachers can employ in their classrooms.

Qualifications Required
Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent.
