About the role
Builders Trading Cooperative is looking for a practical, reliable Truck Driver / Yard Assistant to join our team in Fyshwick. This is a local, daytime role combining crane truck deliveries to active trade sites across the ACT region with hands-on support in our Fyshwick timber and building supply yard.
Key responsibilities
Perform secure, timely site deliveries of timber and building supplies across the ACT.
Operate vehicle-mounted loading cranes (HIAB/CV) and forklifts for loading and unloading.
Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and enforce strict load restraint standards.
Receive, inspect, and dispatch incoming stock in the trade yard.
Pick trade customer orders accurately against picking slips. About you
Valid MR or HR Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) / HIAB licence (or proven crane truck experience).
High-Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) and load restraint protocols.
Experience in construction, building materials, or timber yard workplace (highly regarded).
