Café Lurline is a busy and welcoming café located in the heart of Katoomba, Blue Mountains. We are passionate about delivering quality food, excellent coffee and memorable dining experiences. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in leading and managing daily kitchen operations.
Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation.
Maintain consistency, quality and portion control.
Supervise, train and support kitchen staff.
Assist with ordering, stock management and food cost control.
Minimise food wastage and improve kitchen efficiency.
Maintain food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Support menu development and seasonal specials.
Lead kitchen service in the absence of the Head Chef. About You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef
Robust leadership and organisational skills.




Experience in a busy breakfast and lunch café environment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Robust understanding of food costs and kitchen operations.
Positive attitude and excellent teamwork.
Availability to work weekends.
