WE’RE HIRING | HEAD BARISTAAurea Gourmet – Prahran, Melbourne Aurea Gourmet is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee operations and deliver an exceptional coffee experience to our guests. We’re looking for someone with excellent coffee-making skills, solid leadership abilities and a genuine passion for specialty coffee.

Key Responsibilities
Lead daily coffee operations and oversee coffee quality and consistency.
Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee and other beverages.
Train, supervise and support baristas to maintain high standards.
Dial in espresso and adjust grinders to ensure optimal extraction.
Maintain coffee equipment, cleanliness and workstation organisation.
Manage coffee stock, milk supplies and ordering.
Work closely with the management and service teams to ensure smooth daily operations.




Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming café atmosphere. About You
Proven experience as a Head Barista or Senior Barista in a busy café.
Robust knowledge of espresso extraction, grinder calibration and milk texturing.
Excellent latte art and coffee presentation skills.
Experience training and leading a team of baristas.
Solid communication, organisation and time-management skills.
Reliable, hands-on and passionate about delivering consistently excellent coffee.
Specialty coffee experience is highly regarded.
