ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Rio Tinto inducted Pipefitter for a 2:1 roster project at Rio Tinto Parker Point. The successful candidate will have robust pipefitting skills and sound mechanical knowledge, with experience working on large-bore pipework up to 600mm, centrifugal pumps, couplings and mechanical seals. Familiarity with industrial equipment such as rotary valves, screw conveyors, and manual and pneumatic butterfly valves is essential, along with experience removing and refitting strainers in 350NB, 400NB and 600NB sizes. Candidates must be able to read and interpret P&IDs; and layout drawings, including greenlining. Experience with RO membrane fitting would be advantageous but is not essential. A robust commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
