Hays is partnering with a well-established, globally recognised organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer. Following significant growth, this business offers the chance to join a collaborative finance team within a secure and expanding environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role across Accounts Payable, ensuring suppliers and customers are paid accurately, on time, and in line with company controls and procedures. The role offers excellent exposure to a high-volume transactional setting and would suit someone looking to further develop their finance career within a large corporate business.

Your new role
Process high-volume supplier invoices, purchase orders and employee expense claims.
Prepare and process consignor settlement statements following auction closures.
Manage supplier payments, EFTs, BPAY transactions and corporate credit card reconciliations.
Process profit share settlements, inventory purchase disbursements and approved financial advances.
Investigate payment discrepancies and resolve invoice and settlement queries.
Maintain supplier and consignor banking information and ensure compliance with approval processes.




Complete month-end reconciliations, including AP sub-ledger, bank and trust account reconciliations.
Support audit requirements and maintain adherence to internal financial controls

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Settlements, Finance Administration or a similar transactional finance role.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately.
Experience working with ERP systems with Oracle exposure is highly regarded.
Intermediate Excel skills, including reconciliations and data analysis.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering accurate, timely outcomes
