Verve Partners is proud to be partnering with Hunter Water to recruit an experienced FSM Change & Adoption Lead to support a significant business transformation program.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced change management professional who enjoys working with people, simplifying complex processes and making technology work in the real world.
The Opportunity
Hunter Water provides essential water and wastewater services to more than 600,000 people across the Lower Hunter.
As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and operational excellence, Hunter Water has invested in a Field Service Management (FSM) system designed to improve how its operational teams plan, manage and deliver services.
With the system already introduced across key business areas, the focus is now shifting towards embedding change, improving user adoption and ensuring the organisation realises the full benefits of its investment.
Reporting to the FSM Manager and working alongside a dedicated team of technical and continuous improvement specialists, you will play a critical role in bringing people, processes and technology together.
This isn't simply about implementing another system. It's about helping people embrace new ways of working and ensuring those changes deliver lasting improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead change management and adoption initiatives across the FSM program and related operational systems.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, technical teams and frontline employees.
- Develop and deliver practical communication, training and engagement strategies.
- Identify barriers to change and implement solutions that improve user confidence and system adoption.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, practical guidance for employees.
- Monitor adoption, business readiness and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with business leaders to embed sustainable change and maximise operational efficiencies.
About You
We're looking for an experienced change management professional who understands that successful transformation is as much about people as it is about technology.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Demonstrated experience in change management, business transformation or organisational capability development.
- Experience supporting technology implementations or enterprise-wide systems change.
- Prosci change management methodology
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.
- Experience developing training, communication and user adoption strategies.
- The ability to work effectively across technical and operational environments.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and a genuine passion for helping people navigate change.
Experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction,
manufacturing or other operational environments would be highly regarded.
Why Join Hunter Water?
Beyond the opportunity to work on a significant transformation program, Hunter Water offers the stability, flexibility and purpose that comes with being part of an essential community organisation.
- Permanent career prospect with long-term stability.
- 35-hour working week supporting genuine work-life balance.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements, with approximately 50% of time in the workplace.
- Opportunity to work across diverse teams and operational environments.
- A collaborative culture where your contribution will make a genuine difference.
- The opportunity to contribute to an organisation delivering essential services to the Hunter community.
