SustainHealth are seeking an experienced Allied Health Manager to lead and grow the allied health service of a values-led disability provider in South Western Sydney. This is a senior leadership role with a team that genuinely wants a leader, and real scope to build something lasting.
About the position
Our client is a registered NDIS provider that also works across aged care. Their person-centred approach puts people with disability at the centre of every decision. The allied health team currently consist of mostly behavior support practitioners, alongside an OT and psychology. They range from new graduates through to experienced clinicians, and a handful of contractors support them.
You’ll report to the COO and sit on the COO's Leadership Team. You’ll own the allied health service and grow it into a strong multidisciplinary division across NDIS, aged care and Medicare. You’ll:
- Lead, coach and provide clinical supervision to the team, including contracted clinicians
- Carry a clinical caseload to start, moving toward supporting complex cases as the team grows
- Build a graduate pathway with university partners, with the goal of making it a leading program for students and graduates in South Western Sydney
- Oversee restrictive practices and behaviour support compliance, including timely panels, plans and reporting
- Build dashboards and report monthly on budget, billable hours, referrals and growth KPIs
- Work with the COO and marketing on growth strategy, branding and new referral partnerships
- Expand the service over time, with scope to add disciplines like speech pathology, physio, dietetics and nursing
The Details & Benefits
- An attractive base + super, plus salary packaging
- Full-time, permanent
- Based at head office in South Western Sydney
- A seat on the Senior Leadership Team with real influence over how the division grows
- A motivated team that’s ready for strong clinical leadership
- Room to build: a graduate pathway, new disciplines and a new clinic space
- A values-driven organisation that focuses on solutions, not barriers
- A straightforward two-stage interview process, with the first round held virtually
The Requirements
- A bachelor degree in a relevant allied health field, such as psychology, OT, speech pathology or social work
- Senior leadership experience in allied health, ideally within NDIS, disability or aged care
- A robust clinical background and experience supervising clinicians at all levels
- Sound knowledge of restrictive practices, human rights, and the NDIS and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Confidence with data, budgets and KPIs, and a growth mindset around referrals and new business
- Experience developing graduates or building a graduate program
- A police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain them)
Registration with the NDIS Commission as an Advanced behaviour support practitioner is highly regarded. Postgraduate qualifications in allied health or management, and AHPRA registration, will help you stand out.
