Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Poultry Farm Assistant Manager to join their team at a well-established poultry farm located just north of Port Wakefield, South Australia.
This is a fantastic prospect for someone with solid hands-on poultry farming experience who is looking to develop their skills, take on greater responsibility and ultimately progress into a Poultry Farm Manager's role.

- $65,000 annual salary
- Fully maintained accommodation valued at approximately $23,000 per year

About the Role
Working closely with the Farm Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the poultry operation, helping to maintain high standards of bird welfare, production and farm management.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the daily management and operation of poultry sheds.
- Maintaining excellent poultry husbandry and bird welfare standards.
- Monitoring and managing feed requirements and feeding programs.
- Maintaining appropriate shed environments, including ventilation, temperature and litter conditions.
- Monitoring bird health,



growth rates and general flock performance.
- Identifying and reporting any issues relating to bird health or shed conditions.
- Assisting with cleaning, maintenance and general farm duties.
- Helping coordinate daily farm activities and ensuring operational standards are maintained.

About You
To be successful in this position, you must have previous hands-on experience working within the poultry industry.
We are looking for someone who has:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial poultry farming.
- Strong poultry husbandry skills and a genuine understanding of bird welfare.
- Practical experience managing poultry feed programs and shed environments.
- An understanding of ventilation, temperature control and maintaining optimal growing conditions.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to take on additional responsibility.
- A genuine ambition to develop into a Farm Manager's position over the longer term.
