About the Role
Chris Barnard Health is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses with Mental Health experience to provide community nursing services to DVA clients and NDIS participants across Melbourne’s south-east and Mornington Peninsula.
This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking for flexible casual work, greater independence and the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with clients in their own homes.
Locations
We are particularly looking for nurses across:

- Mornington Peninsula: Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Dromana, Hastings, Somerville, Portsea and surrounding suburbs
- Frankston: Frankston, Frankston South, Carrum Downs, Langwarrin, Seaford, Skye and surrounding suburbs
- Kingston: Chelsea, Mentone, Mordialloc, Cheltenham, Moorabbin, Aspendale, Parkdale, Highett and surrounding suburbs
- Bayside: Brighton, Hampton, Sandringham, Beaumaris, Black Rock, Highett and surrounding suburbs

What You'll Do

- Conduct mental health and community nursing assessments
- Develop and review individualised care plans
- Support DVA clients and NDIS participants in their homes
- Provide support to clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, psychosocial disability and other mental health presentations
- Conduct clinical and risk assessments and escalate concerns appropriately
- Provide medication support, monitoring and education within RN scope
- Liaise with GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists,



support coordinators and other treating professionals
- Complete transparent and accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
- Deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused and person-centred care

What You'll Need

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months' paid RN experience
- Minimum 6 months' recent mental health nursing experience
- Strong assessment, care planning and clinical documentation skills
- Current National Police Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Australian working rights
- Ability to work independently in the community

Highly Regarded

- Community mental health nursing experience
- DVA Community Nursing experience
- Experience supporting NDIS participants with psychosocial disability
- Experience with PTSD, complex trauma or Behaviour Support Plans
- Postgraduate Mental Health Nursing qualification

A postgraduate Mental Health qualification is highly regarded, but is not mandatory.
