An opportunity is available for an Associate and Senior Associate to join the Sydney Tax practice of a leading international law firm.

The team advises a sophisticated client base of multinational corporations, ASX-listed businesses and major organisations on complex domestic and cross-border taxation matters. Working closely with an experienced group of partners and senior practitioners, the successful candidates will have exposure to high-value matters, meaningful client interaction and the opportunity to develop their technical expertise across a broad range of tax disciplines.

The Role
The practice works across a diverse range of taxation matters, including:

- Corporate income tax and international tax;
- Cross-border transactions and tax structuring;
- Transfer pricing;
- Tax disputes, controversy and ATO engagements;
- GST and indirect taxation; and
- Strategic tax advice for corporate and multinational clients.

You will work alongside leading practitioners on significant transactions, complex advisory matters and contentious tax issues, with the opportunity to take ownership of workstreams and build strong client relationships.

About You
The team is interested in hearing from lawyers at Associate and Senior Associate level with experience in tax law gained within a leading private practice or Big 4 environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience advising on Australian taxation matters, ideally across corporate, international or indirect tax;
- Strong technical, analytical, research and drafting skills;
- The ability to communicate complex legal and commercial issues clearly;
- A genuine interest in developing expertise across a broad range of tax disciplines;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities; and
- A collaborative approach and an interest in developing client relationships.
