Barbara's Italian, located in Kellyville NSW 2155, Australia, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join its team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of Italian dishes in accordance with menu requirements and quality standards.
- Following established recipes, cooking methods and portion specifications to ensure consistency.
- Preparing ingredients, including washing, cutting, measuring and organising food items before service.
- Monitoring the quality and freshness of ingredients and cooked dishes.
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation and cooking.
- Maintaining high standards of food preparation, portion control and presentation.
- Ensuring kitchen areas, equipment and food storage areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Checking stock levels, rotating ingredients correctly and minimising food waste.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times within the kitchen.




- Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

About You:
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Experience preparing Italian dishes and following established recipes.
- Ability to maintain high food quality and consistency in a rapid-paced environment.
- Positive understanding of food safety, sanitation and workplace hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and priorities during service.
- Attention to detail, reliability and a strong commitment to maintaining kitchen standards.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum.
