About the role

Reporting to Greg Freeman, Head of Growth & Partnerships, you'll become a trusted point of contact for your assigned clients, understanding their needs and helping them get the most from MEDirect. Your focus will be retaining clients, increasing assessment bookings, expanding relationships within existing accounts and reconnecting with firms that have stopped booking. You'll work alongside a Business Development Manager who brings new clients into MEDirect, taking ownership as those relationships transition into ongoing account management. This is a proactive role that combines regular phone conversations, account planning, and client meetings. You'll have clear ownership of your portfolio and measurable goals for client retention and growth.

You might be an experienced case manager or personal injury insurance professional looking for your next step, working in BD in an aligned space such as rehab, risk, or insurance broking, or a senior paralegal who understands the importance of securing the right medical expertise at the right time. Or you may already manage client relationships within the medicolegal sector.

Do you enjoy understanding a client’s business, identifying opportunities and turning strong relationships into measurable commercial growth? Then reach out for a confidential chat.

Key responsibilities

- Build relationships with law firms, insurers, employers and the people managing personal injury and compensation matters.

- Understand clients' workflows and assessment needs, helping them access relevant medical experts.

- Stay connected through proactive phone calls, online meetings and client visits.

- Reconnect with inactive clients, understand what has changed and help them resume booking.

- Identify opportunities to introduce MEDirect to additional colleagues, teams and offices within existing accounts.

- Lead client reviews, respond to feedback and work with internal teams to resolve issues.

- Share insights about the medical specialties, locations and services clients need.

- Maintain accurate CRM records and use account information to plan follow-up and track progress.

- Represent MEDirect at relevant client meetings and industry events.

About you

- Relevant industry experience and a sound understanding of personal injury, workers compensation, motor accident claims or medicolegal services.

- Solid relationship skills and the confidence to communicate with legal, insurance and healthcare professionals.

- Experience managing a caseload, client portfolio or competing stakeholder needs, with reliable organisation and follow-through.

- The ability to understand a client's needs, identify opportunities and suggest practical solutions.

- Confidence picking up the phone, initiating conversations and maintaining regular contact.

- A willingness to develop your commercial skills and work towards client retention and account growth targets.

- Confidence using digital systems and learning new tools, including CRM platforms.

- An interest in using AI and automation responsibly to improve your work.

- The ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
