About Bureau:
Bureau is a founder-led global company built around a simple belief: better spaces make better work.
Today, we make soundproof office booths that help people focus, meet and think. But our ambition is much bigger than what we sell. We want to shape how people do their best work, and build a company that can make a meaningful dent in the way work feels.
We’re a small, fast-moving team with a lot still to build. That means real ownership, room for good ideas and the chance to have an outsized impact.
At Bureau, our people are what make us different:
At the heart of our business is a global team of passionate, caring, highly accountable and entrepreneurial people who are empowered to make an impact. We bring our true selves, unique talents and personalities to work every day — and we believe that’s what makes our culture stronger.
We’re first and foremost a sales-driven organization, powered by technology and design, with a big ambition: to shape how people do their best work. Through our best-in-class modular workspaces and booths, we’re helping businesses create better places to work — with products that ship around the world.
Our team is global, connected and growing. We operate from our main hubs across Australia, Canada (Vancouver and Toronto), the US (New York and Dallas), and UK/Europe and are supported by talented teams across the Philippines, Argentina, Mexico, Colorado and growing. We’re continuing to expand, with new hubs planned in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Our Core Values:
- We are intrinsically motivated. We do great work because that’s who we are, not because we’re told to.
- We play to win. We set the standard and push it higher.
- We are problem solvers. We take ownership, figure it out and get it done.
- We care. We show up with honesty, respect and real support.
- We are fun. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Account Executive/ BDR in New York (Address: 6 St Johns Ln unit 706). This is an early-career sales role focused on creating pipeline and building the sales fundamentals needed to become a successful Account Executive at Bureau.
You’ll focus heavily on outbound prospecting, qualification, and meeting generation across our SMB and Mid-Market segments, with some inbound lead management. You’ll identify the right prospects, start conversations, understand their needs, and create qualified opportunities for our Account Executive team.
This is a high-activity, high-learning role for someone who is commercially curious, competitive, persistent, and eager to build a career in sales. You won’t be waiting around for leads to come in — the majority of your pipeline will come from your own outbound efforts.
You’ll work closely with Account Executives and sales leadership, receiving hands-on coaching while developing the skills to eventually own the full sales cycle yourself. As you grow, you may also have the opportunity to close straightforward opportunities directly, building the commercial judgment and closing skills required to progress into an Account Executive role.
Technology and AI are an important part of how we sell at Bureau. You’ll be expected to use our sales tools effectively and leverage AI to improve prospect research, personalization, outreach, productivity, and sales execution.
Responsibilities:
1. Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Build and execute outbound prospecting strategies targeting Bureau's ideal customer profile.
- Research target accounts and identify the right companies, contacts, and buying signals.
- Prospect through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels to create new conversations.
- Build and manage active outreach sequences and consistently generate qualified meetings.
- Follow up with event, conference, and marketing-generated leads.
- Develop repeatable prospecting habits and continuously improve your approach.
- Take ownership of creating pipeline rather than relying on inbound leads.
2. Lead Qualification & Opportunity Creation
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads to determine fit, need, timing, and potential.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand customer needs and identify opportunities.
- Qualify prospects against Bureau's ICP and sales criteria before handing opportunities to Account Executives.
- Book high-quality meetings that have a clear business reason to continue the conversation.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Bureau's products, value proposition, and competitive differentiation.
- Where appropriate, manage and close straightforward single-site opportunities to develop your commercial and closing skills.
3. CRM & Sales Discipline
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and contact information in HubSpot.
- Log prospecting activity, meeting outcomes, next steps, and opportunity information consistently.
- Keep active outreach sequences organized and actionable.
- Use sales activity and conversion data to understand what is working and where to improve.
- Develop solid CRM and sales process habits from day one.
4. Collaboration & Handoff
- Work closely with Account Executives to identify target accounts and prioritize opportunities.
- Provide AEs with clear context, qualification notes, and relevant customer information when handing off opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership on campaigns, events, messaging, and pipeline-generation initiatives.
- Share customer feedback, common objections, competitive insights, and prospecting learnings with the wider sales team.
- Actively seek coaching and apply feedback to improve your performance.
5. Technology, AI & Sales Enablement
- Become proficient in the tools used across the Bureau sales organization, including HubSpot, Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude to improve prospect research, account planning, personalization, messaging, meeting preparation, and productivity.
- Experiment with new tools and approaches to make prospecting more efficient and effective.
- Demonstrate a high aptitude for learning new technology and adapting as our sales stack evolves.
6. Performance & Growth
- Consistently work toward quarterly meeting, pipeline, and revenue targets.
- Track your own performance across activity, meetings booked, qualification, pipeline creation, and conversion.
- Participate actively in sales coaching, training, and pipeline reviews.
- Build the skills and commercial judgment required to progress into a full-cycle Account Executive role.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, recruiting, hospitality, customer success, or another client-facing role.
- Hungry to build a career in sales and excited by a high-energy, target-driven environment.
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound prospecting and not afraid to pick up the phone, send the message, or start the conversation.
- A natural communicator and relationship builder who can connect with different types of people.
- Commercially curious with a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate and make decisions.
- Persistent and resilient — you don't get discouraged by a "no" and know how to keep moving.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable taking ownership and working without a step-by-step playbook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning and using modern sales technology, with experience in HubSpot or another CRM considered an asset.
- High aptitude for AI and emerging technology, with a willingness to experiment and learn.
- Competitive, curious, accountable, and motivated to continuously improve.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this role includes $70-80K (Base Salary) and a Variable Commission Structure, with OTE (On-Target-Earnings) of up to $87.5-100K. - An amazing corporate culture in a fast-growing company that's disrupting the industry
- Career Development Program - $1000 per year to encourage continuous education
