Blackwood Golf Club is looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Pro Shop Assistant to join our growing Golf Operations team.

Our Pro Shop is an important part of the member and visitor experience, and we're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in their work and is happy to roll up their sleeves to get things done.

You don't need to be a golfer or have extensive retail experience. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to good customer service are what matter most.

What you'll be doing

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are necessarily the same. Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming and assisting members, guests and visitors.

- Supporting day-to-day Pro Shop retail operations and sales.

- Assisting with competition administration, bookings and general enquiries.

- Operating point-of-sale, golf booking and other computer systems.

- Helping maintain attractive retail displays and a tidy, well-presented Pro Shop.

- Preparing and washing down golf carts and assisting with general equipment presentation.

- Supporting the wider Golf Operations team wherever needed.

What we're looking for

We're more interested in the right person and attitude than a lengthy resume.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Some retail, hospitality or customer service experience.

- A friendly, approachable and member-service-focused personality.

- Confidence using computers,



retail systems and learning new technology.

- The ability to think on your feet, use initiative and handle different situations.

- The ability to work autonomously while following established procedures and direction.

- A willingness to get hands-on, including cleaning and preparing golf carts.

- A professional, well-presented appearance and reliable work ethic.

- A genuine interest in golf would be great, but it certainly isn't essential.

Weekend availability is essential, including the ability to work a combination of Saturday and Sunday shifts as required.
