Casual Barista (Fri–Sun availability essential) – King Carlos Coffee Roasters, Hurstville

King Carlos Coffee Roasters is an award-winning specialty coffee roastery and espresso bar in Hurstville. We’re quality-focused, customer-first, and we run a tight, supportive team that takes pride in every cup and every interaction.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Casual Barista for 25–30 hours per week across morning shifts. You must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays – this is non-negotiable, as these are our busiest trading days. Additional weekday shifts are available on a rotating roster. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives during busy service and genuinely enjoys outstanding customer service.

What you’ll be doing

- Produce consistently high-quality espresso and milk-based coffee

- Deliver warm, confident customer service and build regulars

- Keep the bar clean, stocked and service-ready





- Support smooth morning workflow, open/close procedures and team communication

What we’re looking for

- Minimum 2 years barista experience in a busy café environment

- Guaranteed availability Friday, Saturday and Sunday

- Strong speed + consistency under pressure

- Friendly, customer-focused approach (must be confident on the counter)

- Reliable, punctual and a team player

- Passion for specialty coffee and willingness to learn our standards

Pay

- $35–$45 per hour (depending on experience), plus weekend penalty rates
