AAR Corporation Pty Ltd Chef - Tweed Indian Hut Banora Point NSW 2486 | Full-time | $80,000 per year plus superannuation AAR Corporation Pty Ltd (Hire Sphere Global) is advertising this position on behalf of JSR Benipal Pty Ltd, trading as Tweed Indian Hut. Position overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen full-time.

Key responsibilities
Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, including tandoor, curry, rice and bread preparation
Develop and modify menus, including specials and vegetarian and vegan dishes, to meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
Prepare and cook food to a consistent standard across dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders
Supervise and train kitchen staff, and demonstrate cooking techniques
Undertake rostering, ordering and stock control, including sourcing spices and specialty ingredients
Manage and maintain the food safety program, including documentation and allergen management
Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
Arrange equipment maintenance, repairs and purchases
Resolve kitchen problems and customer feedback promptly




Work effectively with front-of-house staff to manage peak periods and online order volumes
Maintain valuable time management during preparation and service periods

Qualifications and experience
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant commercial cooking experience
Demonstrated experience supervising kitchen staff
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to manage food costs, ordering and stock
Robust communication, leadership and organisational skills
