About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join the team at Pharmacy Management Brimbank in Deer Park, Victoria. This is a part-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting our pharmacy operations and contributing to excellent patient care. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our pharmacy services, working alongside qualified pharmacists and other team members to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care to our community.

Key responsibilities

- Processing prescriptions and managing patient documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements

- Providing friendly and professional customer service to patients, including advising on general health and wellness products

- Operating pharmacy computer systems and point-of-sale equipment efficiently and securely

- Cleaning and maintaining pharmacy equipment and work areas to the highest standards of hygiene

- Supporting the pharmacist with administrative tasks, including filing, labelling and organisation

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant pharmacy legislation and workplace health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

- A qualification as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent recognised credential, or willingness to undertake training

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to customer service

- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and general computer literacy

- Good organisational and time management abilities

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from senior staff





- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive patient information appropriately

- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting light items

- Previous retail or healthcare experience is essential
