The Opportunity

NEPEAN Longwall is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our workshop team in Paget, Mackay on a full-time permanent basis. With a strong pipeline of work and substantial overtime opportunities available, this is an excellent opportunity for motivated tradespeople to build a long-term career while working on industry-leading underground mining equipment within a stable and growing business.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, overhaul, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of underground mining equipment and longwall components. You will work alongside a highly skilled team delivering quality outcomes for customers across Australia's mining industry.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Australian Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications
- Experience within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Highly Regarded Longwall or underground mining equipment experience
- Forklift Licence / Overhead Crane Ticket
- Current Driver's Licence
